My Story
This program is something I’m very passionate about and it has been a long time coming. I have procrastinated (ok, I was too chicken) about getting it started for the last 18 months, when a very good friend of mine said to me recently… “You HAVE to do this!! It’s a great idea, and an area you’re very passionate about… get started!!” So Glow Health & Wellness Pty Ltd was born (thank you Terri).
This is the next step for me in a long and sometimes challenging, but truly rewarding personal journey. For many years I struggled with Bulimia and weight issues… I battled with my inner demons over and over again until I just wanted to run away from myself, but there was nowhere to go.
I always joked that when somebody else bothers you, you can leave the room, but there’s no escaping your own head.
Even until recently, though no longer bulimic, I was still having major challenges accepting my body as it is… the beautiful, female figure that I now appreciate as my temple. Through my journey, I became aware of just how many women aren’t happy with the gift that is their body, and what a terrible shame it is that so much beauty isn’t being acknowledged.
When I say beauty, I don’t mean looking like a supermodel… beauty is about radiating from within. It’s about feeling confident and walking with a spring in your step, or having a sparkle in your eye and wearing a warm, happy smile.
So I made a decision… I had been put on this path for a reason, and I wasn’t going to take all I’d learnt and let it go to waste. It’s time I shared my journey with others, in the hope that we can all grow to love our bodies more, ourselves more and radiate our inner beauty.
So please join me on this special journey, where we women can celebrate how beautiful we are, inside and out. Where we can provide love, encouragement and support to our sisters, and where there are no men around to spoil all our fun!! (Except maybe the odd spunky personal trainer of course!).
This is about looking fabulous, feeling fabulous… and being FABULOUS!!
